Participants

(Must be achieved yearly beginning in September)

Participants attend 1 or more events and receive our gifts of Dinner for a Week, Back-2-School, Healthy Homes or Turkeys & Toys. As a participant you will benefit from the following services, as available:

  • Automotive advisor and referrals as needed
  • Gifting Projects
  • Emergency assistance referrals
  • Age Appropriate Bibles for all family members
  • Clothes/furniture/household wares as donated
  • A Kohl's card in our Back-2-School program


Becoming a participant is easy; just start participating in our events! To maintain your status as a Participant we require the following:

  1. Sign up for the newsletter to stay informed.
  2. Attend Book Club, Parenting class or LifeGroup.

Active Participants

(Must be achieved yearly beginning in September)

Active participants serve others by attending Book Club, or volunteering in Dinner for a Week, Back-2-School, Healthy Homes, Turkey & Toys or other service projects. As an Active Participant, in addition to the above services, you will also receive the following services, as available:

  • Financial Counseling as available
  • Retreat
  • Automotive (access to an auto-advisor that will service your brakes for the cost of parts as available)
  • Job listings and coaching (help with resume writing, reviews and interviews)
  • A higher value Kohl's card in our Back-2-School program

To maintain your status as an Active Participant we require the following:

  1. Be a participant.
  2. Attend Book Club and or volunteer in a One Step Gifting or event.

It's easy to join a team that organizes our giftings, or puts together our fundraisers or Teas. Click the button below and we will add you to our volunteer opportunity emails. Then sign up and join the team to become an active participant.

Next Generation

(Must be achieved yearly beginning in September)

Next Gens lead an area of our ministry such as Book Club, Dinner for a Week, Back-2-School, Healthy Homes, Turkey & Toys,or fundraising events and service projects. Next Gens are also able to initiate new programs in One Step as approved. As a Next Generation in addition to the above services, you will also receive the following services, as available:

  • Leadership training
  • The highest value Kohl's card in our Back-2-School program

To maintain your status as a Next Generation Participant we require the following:

  1. Be an active participant.
  2. Be a team leader in one of our programs or events.
