Healthy Homes - January

(Planning begins the week after Christmas)

When money is tight, cleaning items are eliminated from shopping lists, increasing the likelihood of illness, which may lead to job loss. One Step partners with TerraNova church and Albertsons shoppers in January to collect cleaning items. Then we invite single parents to come hear from special speakers on keeping their homes physically, nutritionally and spiritually healthy.


If you would like to offer your time to help execute this event, the team will have their first meeting the last week of December. Team members can help print and cut the shopping lists, set up tables for volunteers in stores, pick up cleaning items from stores, work a 2 hour shift in stores, arrange cleaning items for pick up, speak on a related topic on the day of gifting, make or pick up lunch for all in attendance or help set up or clean up on the day of the event. Sign ups to help collect cleaning items from shoppers in the store will be available in January.
